Clothes that Stole the Show

At this year's Juno awards, there were two trends that every announcer, performer and singer were wearing; the glitzy and the glamourous along with head-to-toe black. Leah Miller, host of the 2010 Juno awards, wore a cream coloured mini dress which had silver sequins arranged in a criss-cross pattern. Singer and songwriter, Metric, walked on stage to accept her award for Best Alternative Album of the Year wearing an off the shoulder, mini that was covered entirely with gold seaquins. Metric also wore another sequin dress while performing on stage, which she paired with sparkly, silver Christian Louboutain heels to ensure she captured fans' attention in the audience. Another artist who caught the trend of glitz and glamour was upcoming artist Nikki Yonovsky who wore a black, sequined mini skirt with her outfit.

While many of the women wore sequined outfits which helped them capture the limelight and stand out in the crowd, other females and most of the males were less concerned about standing out and being seen and chose to stay hidden amongst each other. From Drake to Blue Rodeo to Michael Buble, many male and female performers were not dressed to impressed. Their outfit of preference was a black top paired with black pants and black shoes. For those who chose not to wear black, they were by no means wearing bright, spring colours as one might expect now that we are in the spring season.

What happened to adding a little colour to ones life, let alone one's wardrobe?
